Manage conflict through negotiation.
Students will learn and demonstrate how to adapt communication styles to people and situations, working effectively with groups and maintain security of information.
A person undertaking this role may work autonomously or as part of a team with support from familiar and unfamiliar resources. They will typically be working with clients in correctional and immigration detention services environments.

The CEO of C5 Training has identified an industry need to deliver this combination of units of competency to suitable students. The course is branded and marketed as: Manage Conflict in the Workplace Course and will provide training and assessment over specific workplace requirements.
Students should consider this training program to be one (1) week self-paced study and one (1) day face to face training and assessment. Students must be prepared to be engaged with C5 Training and be willing to contribute their own time, effort and resources and be genuinely committed to working toward a satisfactory outcome.
Students will normally be working in a corrections environment.
Class sizes will be limited to fifteen (15) students.
C5 Training is not a CRICOS registered provider therefore applicants studying in Australia on a Student Visa are not eligible to enrol in this program.
Students will be enrolled on a fee for service basis.
On successful completion of the training program students will be awarded Statements of Attainment:

Prior to enrolment
C5 Training acknowledges that applicants will already hold skills, knowledge and experience that are integral to completing this training program within the described time frame. C5 Training will confirm applicants are suited to the training program in which they enrol and be given the best opportunity for a positive vocational outcome.

C5 Training recognises that not all students will have the same level of ability in relation to reading, writing, and performing calculations. Potential students who have indicated Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) may be a concern, will be offered a LLN Assessment.

Prior to accepting the student’s enrolment, the C5 Training management team will receive and evaluate/review each student’s Prior to Enrolment process. Based on the information gathered during this process and any other relevant correspondence and conversation, C5 Training may:
• Accept the student’s enrolment
• Reject the student’s enrolment
• Offer appropriate additional support.

C5 Training will:
• Ensure each student provides a copy of their driver’s license.
• Issue learner resources and resource guides.
• Prepare a customised Student Study Schedule.
• Provide a Welcome Letter that confirms:
o Time and location of training
o Course schedule and timeframe
o Resource requirements
o Unit of competency to be studied
Student support
C5 Training will assist all students in their efforts to complete training programs by all methods available and reasonable. Trainers are responsible for ensuring that all students are aware they can contact their trainer or other C5 Training staff members if they are experiencing difficulties with any aspect of their studies. Staff will ensure students have access to the full resources of C5 Training to assist them in achieving the required level of competency.
If a student is experiencing personal difficulties, training staff will encourage the student to contact C5 Training management, who will provide discreet, personalised, and confidential assistance according to the nature of the difficulties. If issues are impacting the student’s study, course deferral may be discussed.
Where a student’s needs exceed the capacity of the support services C5 Training can offer, they will be referred to an appropriate external agency. These needs may be academic needs or personal needs. Extensive information regarding support agencies, resources and services may be sourced online. C5 Training staff members will assist students to source appropriate support.
Students who demonstrate slow progress will be supported as required. Students can seek support at any time by discussing their needs with the trainer and assessor or staff at C5 Training.

C5 Training can conduct training and assessment in the workplace.
Program of study
The program is delivered over a period of one (1) week of self-paced study and five (5) days of face-to-face training and assessment.

Self-Paced Study
Students are expected to read and understand the theory delivered in the learner resource and be properly prepared to attend the face-to-face class training and assessment.
Self-paced study: twenty (20) hours
The student is provided with specific, documented support.
Student Study Schedule that includes:
A recommended study program.
Schedule for students to complete the self-paced study in their own time.

Course Fee
Each course offered by C5 Training has a specific course fee. The course fee is the maximum fee that may be charged to the student for their selected training program.
It is C5 Training's policy that the course fee will be all-inclusive. Students will not be 'surprised' by unexpected requirements, fees or expenses.

Payment required in advance
A deposit of 50% of the total course fee is required from each student.
Payment balance
The remaining 50% is to be paid at commencement of training.
